Kent Kloppenburg

Kent E. Kloppenburg, 64, a resident of Davenport, died unexpectedly, Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street, Davenport.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Honoring his wish, the rite of cremation will be accorded.

Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, Davenport is assisting his family with arrangements.

Kent Earl Kloppenburg was born October 14, 1954 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Marvin and Elsie (Blumer) Kloppenburg. He was united in marriage to Candice “Candy” Erickson, September 5, 2003.

Kent had worked for the Bettendorf School System retiring after many years.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Candy, and their children, a daughter, Amy Kloppenburg, Goodyear, AZ, and sons, Austin Kloppenburg, Channahon, IL, Casey Johnson and Eric Johnson, both of Davenport; 7 grandchildren; his siblings, Judy Sisler and Valery Sisler both of Missouri, Lisa (Wayne) Short, Wisconsin and Erwin (Marlyne) Kloppenburg, Moline, Illinois; as well as numerous loving extended family and friends.
