Xavier E. Buckner

Memorial services celebrating the life of Xavier Elphonso Buckner, 34, of Davenport, will be held at Noon, on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.  Visitation will be from 11am until time of services at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Mr. Buckner passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 in Davenport.

Xavier was born July 27, 1988 in Davenport, a son of James E. “Jimmy” Buckner and Enetta M. Hudson-Carr.

He worked for Tyson Foods and in his spare time he enjoyed playing basketball, watching TV, and spending time with his family (especially around the holidays) because he knew someone would be making his favorite caramel cake.

Those left to honor his memory include his children Harmony, Xavia, Xavier, Raya, and one on the way; father Jimmy (Ashley) Buckner; siblings Curtis Hudson, Hosa Howard, Jada Howard, Quashawn Lee, Patrice Buckner, Jalisa Buckner, James Bucker Jr; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Enetta, maternal grandparents Roscoe and Velma Hudson Jr, and paternal grandmother Shirley Quinn.  May the rest in peace.
