Vickie Bogguess

Vickie Lynn Bogguess, 63, of Davenport, passed away, Tuesday, August 30, 2022. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, September 9, 2022 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to her family.  Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Vickie was born on October 1, 1958 in Rock Island, Illinois, daughter of Donald and Ethel (Harrington) Bogguess.

Vickie liked to do hair in her younger years and had also worked at Tysons for many years. She loved to take care of people and most recently been a home health aid.  Vickie loved going to the casino and cooking delicious meals. She loved to shop and dress her best for any occasion.  Vickie loved to take bus rides thru Chicago to take in the sights. She was a beautiful soul who had a big heart and a beautiful smile.  She loved everybody, especially her children and grandchildren.  She was a clean freak and didn’t play when it came to her house or anybody else’s. She had no problem telling you like it was. Vicki was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by many.

She is survived by children Deshawna Bogguess (Vincent Howard), Corry Bogguess-McBride, and Dominique Bogguess; grandchildren Dozjanea Bogguess, Dozjimere Crockett, Vincent Howard, Jr., Danielle Bickham, Daniel Morrow, Davinique Morrow, David Morrow, Jr., Corry McBride, Shacorrie McBride, Jaylynn Weistart, Nikolas McBride, Cortnee McBride and LaCorrionna McBride; 6 great grandchildren; siblings Garry (Joyce) Bogguess and Denise Hill; special nephews and special niece who she helped raise, Garry Bogguess, Jr.,  Dejuante Miller and Alexis Bogguess.

She was preceded in death by her parents, children DeAndrea McBride and Terrance Donnell Foulks, grandchild Corshonda McBride, and special person Demetruis “Mickey” Miller.
