Timothy Ridder

A Memorial Mass for Timothy J. Ridder, 48, of Davenport, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport.  Inurnment will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.  Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the gathering space at church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the  Our Lady of Victory Foundation.

Tim died Saturday, August 7, 2021 in Davenport following many health complications.

Timothy Joseph Ridder was born on September 13, 1972 in Belleville, Illinois, a son of Don W. and Margaret A. (Gunzelman) Ridder.  He graduated from Assumption High School in 1991, St. Ambrose University in 1995 where he played football and later earned his Master’s degree from the University of West Florida.

During his career, Tim worked as the Assistant Public Works Director for Rock Island and as the Public Works Director for Des Plaines, and Dixon, Illinois.  He also served as General Manager of the Apple Canyon Resorts.  Tim did management consulting for many years as well.

Tim declared himself as a jack of all trades and a master of some. His knowledge base was wide and varied. Tim was a good friend. He loved to celebrate his birthday by providing special activities for his friends and families.

Tim is survived by his mother, Margaret Ridder, Davenport, brother, Peter Ridder, Toledo, Ohio, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don and his maternal and paternal grandparents. May they rest in peace.
