Timothy Allen Carstens

Timothy Allen Carstens, age 64, of Davenport, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Unity Point-Trinity Bettendorf. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Buffalo Community Center. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Tim was born on September 18, 1958 in Davenport to Edwin and Margaret (Forsythe) Carstens. He worked as a technician for over 25 years for the former Thompson’s RV. In his early days, Tim enjoyed playing softball, but transitioned into watching his kids and grandchildren participate in sports and activities. Tim enjoyed camping, grilling, and playing bags. He was a devoted Hawkeye fan, but also watching his son-in-law “Iceberg” in pro wrestling. He enjoyed woodworking, but it didn’t stop him from fixing things with duct tape. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Jennifer Stuhr, Kelly (Andy) Hildebrant, Corbin Carstens, Courtni (Deonn) Carstens, and Conner Carstens; grandchildren, Alexis and Bella Stuhr, and Addyson and Emery Hildebrant; brother, David (Melody) Carstens; many nieces and nephews; former spouses, Gail Lanfier, and Mari Carstens; and his favorite cat, Minnie.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by Grandma Ruth, a brother, Edwin, and two infant sisters.
