Thomas A. Lowder

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas A. Lowder, 67, of Blue Grass, will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Blue Grass. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass Monday at church. Memorials may be made to St. Andrew’s. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Tom died Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at the Davenport Lutheran Home.

Thomas Anthony Lowder was born on April 8, 1957 in Davenport, a son of Wayne and Ruth J. (Hoenig) Lowder. Tom was a workaholic. He began his career at Linwood Mining and Minerals at the age of 18 years old and retired in 2019 following 44 years of service. He enjoyed rock n roll music and his cars, especially his 1983 Oldsmobile Delta 88 which only has 5000 miles. He was a faithful member of St. Andrew’s Parish and also volunteered at St. Alphonsus and the Kahl Home.

Those left to honor Tom’s memory include his siblings: Ann Weeks, Davenport; David Lowder, Powder Springs, Georgia; William (Sandy) Lowder, Davenport; Karen (Gene) Adolphi, Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Steven (Cindy) Lowder, Davenport; nieces and nephews: Kaitlyn (Crockett) Wessels; Theren (Autumn) Adolphi; Trey (Libbie) Adolphi and Selena Adolphi; great-nieces and nephews; aunts and uncle: Dorothy Taeger, Raymond Hoenig and Mary (Tim) Driscoll, and Mildred Lowder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Tristan Adolphi. May they rest in peace.
