Thomas Golden

Thomas Peter Golden, 69, of Davenport, passed away, Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. 

 Per his wishes there will be no services and cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.

 Thomas was born on September 14, 1955 in Davenport, son of Thomas and Stella (Pape) Golden. 

 Thomas graduated from Bettendorf High School and later Scott Community College. He worked at casinos with the last one being Rhythm City. He was currently employed at Wal-Mart and enjoyed the people he worked with. Thomas found joy in gardening and working on electronics. He took care of his parents in their elder years. He was a very kind, quiet and considerate man. Thomas was always willing to help if you needed him. He will be deeply missed. 

 Those left to honor his memory include his siblings Suzanne Hoover, Byron, Illinois, Sharon (Mark) Hasstedt, Boone, Iowa, Shelley (Skip) Haigh, Davenport, Iowa, Jerry (Kris) Golden, Bettendorf, Iowa, and David Golden, Bettendorf, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sheila and brother-in-law Gene Hoover.

 The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, MercyOne, Genesis East 4th Floor South nurses and staff, and the visiting nurses for their love and support.
