Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa M. Guy, 88, of Davenport, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 4105 North Division Street, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, downtown Davenport, where a prayer service will be offered at 6:30 p.m. There will be an additional visitation at the church Friday for 1 hour prior to the mass. Theresa passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017, at her home. Theresa M. Hueser, daughter of Stephen and Theresa (Boeckmann) Hueser, was born in Davenport on November 12, 1929. She married Kenneth R. Guy on December 11, 1948. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2007. She enjoyed spending time with her family, holidays, her beloved dog, Spooky, playing cards, Bingo, Bunco, crossword puzzles, baking, and her winters spent in Chandler, AZ. She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1989. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Our Lady of Victory. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Michael and Mary Guy, Thomas and Marybeth Guy, Nancy and Andy Smith, Terri and Jim Smith, and Michele and Jamie Dugan; daughter-in-law, Jean Guy, 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Ash and Joan Gruenwald; and sister-in-laws, Doris Guy and Helen Meye. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Keith in 1999, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters. The family would like to especially thank her caregiver, Deanna, along with Melinda, Leah, and Becca for the loving care provided to Theresa.
