Terry E. Weeks

Funeral services celebrating the life of Terry E. Weeks, 67, of Davenport, will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.  The rite of cremation will be held following the funeral service.  The family will receive friends from 10am until time of service at the funeral home.  Per his request, dress casually, and jeans are fine!  Memorials may be made to the family or the Handicapped Development Center.

Mr. Weeks passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at his home following an extended illness.

Terry Eugene Weeks was born February 17, 1955, in Rock Island, the son of Charles and Shirley Jean (Krueger) Weeks.  He graduated from Rock Island High School, class of ‘73.  He was united in marriage to Judy Seamer on October 5, 1974, in Davenport

Terry was a forklift operator at the former Eagles warehouse for 30 years and one week.  He then worked at the Rock Island Arsenal from 2003 until his health forced him to retire in 2012.

He enjoyed live entertainment and liked going to Broadway shows and concerts, traveling the United States, especially Las Vegas, Hawaii and Michigan, and sampling the local restaurants.  He also liked to scratch the occasional Lottery ticket and play the occasional slot machine.

Those left to honor his memory include his beloved wife, Judy of Davenport; daughter Erin (Joe) Rennert of Bettendorf; sons Zachary Weeks of Bettendorf, and Eric Weeks of Newton, Iowa; granddaughters Hayley and Haddie Rennert; and his Yorkie “Charlie”.

He was preceded in death by his son Bradley in 1975 and parents.  May they rest in peace.
