Teresa B. Borden, 85, of Bettendorf, formerly of Davenport, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
A memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 23, 2021at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Inurnment will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
Teresa was born November 18, 1935 in the Philippines, the daughter of Bayani and Fidela (Bernando) Ortega. She was united in marriage to Dale Hall in 1968. He preceded her in death in 1999. She married George Borden in 2001 and he preceded her in death in 2004.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1957 with her BS in Pharmacy from the Philippines. She earned her Masters of Science and Pharmacy from the University of Iowa in 1960. She had been employed as a pharmacist for several area pharmacies in the Quad-Cities and retired from Kmart in 1997.
In her spare time she volunteered with the Catholic Service Board and St. Anthony’s Circle.
Survivors include her son Mark Hall, Davenport; nephews Lito Ortega, Wisconsin, Roel Santos, Las Vegas; sister-in-law Lourdes Ortega, Philippines; cousins Roger (Teresita) Aguirre and their daughter Tessa, Chicago, Rueben (Tessie) Santos, California; stepsons Robert and Ron Borden; and several nieces and nephews in the Philippines.
In addition to her husbands Dale and George, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bayani, Jr, and special stepson David Borden.
