Susan Zettel

Susan C. Zettel, 62, of Davenport passed away on November 12, 2024.

 Sue was born on April 11, 1962, to Friedrich and Helen Zettel in Davenport, Iowa. After graduating from West High School in 1980, she attended Marycrest College to earn her bachelor's degree. Sue retired in 2020 after a 33-year career as a graphics artist at Eastern Iowa Community Colleges.

 An avid sports fan, Sue loved watching various games and fiercely cheered for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings. Her passion for animals (especially dogs) was unsurpassed, and she enjoyed the companionship of several beloved pets throughout her life. Her friends and family hold many special memories dear to their hearts. The way she laughed, the sound of her voice, and the twinkle in her eyes will never be forgotten. Leaving a legacy of generosity and kindness, many will remember how she impacted their lives.

 Rejoice in the knowledge that Sue is in the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. Sue has been cremated, and there will be no formal service according to her wishes. A celebratory gathering to remember her life will be held later.

 Her surviving family members include her brother Fritz (Jeanne) Zettel, sister-in-law Kim, nieces and nephews Molly, Ryan, Jeremy, Brianna, and Makayla, and several great-nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ted, and niece Lindsey.
