Steven M. Lampe

Steven Michael James Lampe, 62, of Bettendorf, Iowa, son of Dr. Ed and Therese (Katie) Lampe, passed away August 19, 2024 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. 

 A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Christ the King Chapel on the campus of St. Ambrose University, 518 W. Locust Street, Davenport. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Empowering Abilities, Hand in Hand, St. Ambrose University Scholarship or a favorite charity.

Steven attended Fairmount School, University Hospital School and graduated from Bettendorf High School. He also took classes at St. Ambrose. Steven helped coach Bettendorf Football and recruiting for Iowa Football.

He is survived by his mother, sisters; Connie Lampe-Voelliger, Linda (Steve) Park, Carol (Phillip) Gehrmann, and Julie (John) Salkeld; nephew and nieces Stephanie (Albert) Schinstock and their children; McKayla, Noah and Isaiah; Lindsay (Wade) Cornick, Katie Voelliger, Dr. Cara Voelliger (Dr. Chet Vignes), Catherine Gehrmann, Dr. Elizabeth Gehrmann (Dr. Jorge Luis Galvez Vallejo), Mary Therese Gehrmann (Levin Leesemann) and John Salkeld III; good friends Tony VanHorn, Pat Angerer, Steve Park and Phillip Gehrmann, and many Bettendorf and Iowa former and current football players. 

Steven was accompanied by some of his good friends to special football events for many years at the University of Iowa where they enjoyed the kindness and hospitality of the Hawkeye football family. GO HAWKS!!

His father, grandparents Robert and Julia McCarron and Arion and Mary Lampe, and good friends Duane Ungs and Parker Quail are reunited with Steven in Heaven.
