Shimria Sims, 39, of East Moline, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 20, 2020.

Shimria was born on December 6, 1980 in Elgin, Illinois the daughter of Tommy and Mildred (Spates) Sims. She was united in marriage to Fiona Bradford on April 15, 2017.
Shimria had a dazzling smile and was known for her style. She had a heart of gold and loved anyone she met. Shimria had a strong faith and love of God and would read her bible every day. She also enjoyed watching her daily show, Murder She Wrote and spending time with her with beloved dog, Scout. She was a member of Place of Refuge and Ministries.
Those left to honor her memory include her wife, Fiona; brothers Sawnhedrin (Erica) Sims and Tony Evans; sisters Sapria Sims and Natasha Power; father Tommy (Catherine) Sims, step siblings Jessica Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Jeffery Henderson, Antwon Thomas, Terrell Henderson, and Cameron Bennett; nephews Sawnhedrin Sims, Jr. and Jordan; favorite cousin Jestanie Sims, and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, sister Sharon Sims, grandparents, O.C. and Emma Lee Sims, Leonard Ross and Mildred Spates.
