Sharon Giustra

Sharon Giustra, 72, a resident of Davenport, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 18, 2018 at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.  Per her wishes no services will be held and the rite of cremation will be accorded.  Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Sharon Ann Bartholomew was born November 13th, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Bernard and Jeanetta (Swift) Bartholomew.  She graduated from Davenport Assumption High School in 1964. She was affectionately known as ‘Bart’ amongst her high school friends and Sharon attended many reunions of her 64’ classmates.

She loved her family and cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren.  She worked in Davenport for many years managing at Seasonal Concepts and then enjoyed retirement in her later years. She loved cooking and was a talented cook & baker. She also enjoyed knitting and had a flair for decorating, especially during the holiday season.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons, John and June (daughter in-law) Giustra, Jr., of Marietta, Georgia, Matthew Giustra and Michael Giustra both of Sedona, Arizona; three grandchildren, Matthias, Cassia and Elijah. See is also survived by her siblings, Linda Nielsen and Michael Bartholomew, along with many cousins, nieces & nephews.
