Sarah Anne Keller, 42, of Aurora, Illinois, died Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at her residence following a brief illness. A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place with burial in Davenport Memorial Park. A Celebration of Sarah’s life will be held in the Spring of 2025. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Midwestern University, Marianjoy Rehabilitation Center, or Our Lady of Victory.
Sarah was born on March 8, 1982 in Davenport, a daughter of David K. and Nancy A. (Adam) Keller. She graduated from Davenport Assumption High School in 2000 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science, Masters, and Doctorate degrees from St. Louis University.
Sarah was a tenured professor at Midwestern University in their PT program and worked a couple times a month at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Center in Wheaton, Illinois. She was a member of the Illinois Physical Therapist Association and the American Physical Therapist Association. Sarah also presented and spoke at many conferences throughout the United States. She was currently working on her dissertation for her PhD.
Sarah enjoyed her family get-togethers, especially taking many Disney cruises with them, and when she was home loved getting together with her high school friends. She was selfless and one of the most caring souls you’d ever meet. Sarah also enjoyed playing euchre, and especially enjoyed beating her brother, Jeremy.
Those left to honor her memory are her parents, David and Nancy Keller, Davenport, a brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Jennifer Keller, Marion, Iowa, and niece and nephew, Kaylee and Cameron as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Kathleen Adam and Virgil and Joyce Keller, as well as an uncle, Roger Adam. May they rest in peace.
