Sandra “Sandi” Moore, 67, of Milan, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on August 27, 1955, in Torrance, CA and grew up in Davenport, IA. Sandi was a 1973 graduate of Davenport West High School.
She attended Scott Community College, and later went on to work for the City of Davenport.
Sandi enjoyed spending time with her family, her best friend Vickie Norman, and her beloved dog Max, watching movies and her favorite television shows, and researching the historical roots of her family. Sandi had an ear for good music, and was creative in crafts, furniture restoration, art, gardening and writing. She loved to visit Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and her most memorable trip was when she travelled to Hawaii.
Sandi is survived by her daughters Carri (Russ) Williams, Candi (Doug) Travis, and Ami Keller (and children), her grand-girls Madison, Calista, and Ella; her siblings, Terri Walz, Steve (Julie) Richters, Robin (Keith) Lamp, and honorary daughter Jody Jorgensen.
Sandi was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Moore, her sister Brenda Voss, and her parents George and Linda Richters.
The family has honored Sandi’s wishes for the gift of body donation. Sandi desired for diseases such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Multiple Sclerosis to be studied further. It was her hope that she could contribute to helping others in the future.
Per her wishes, a private service will be held for Sandi at a later date. Should anyone wish to make a tribute in Sandi’s name, donations can be accepted at the German American Heritage Center and Museum at 712 W 2nd St. Davenport, IA 52802, or St. Jude's Hospital, her favorite charity.
