Sally Dray

Sarah “Sally” Dray, age 75, of East Moline, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. According to her wishes there will be no services at this time. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Sally was born on July 14, 1947 in Oelwein, IA, to Burnell and Helen (Corkery) Stoops. She was united in marriage to Walter Dray Jr., on Aug. 14, 1983 in Portland, OR. The couple resided in Oregon until moving back to the Quad Cities in 2002.

Sally was always known by her welcoming and loving smile, and generous complements to everyone she comes in contact with. Always a joy to be around. She especially enjoyed line dancing, tennis, and going for walks. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Walter of East Moline; sons, Trevor Dray and Marshal Dray; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Beth (Dick) Booth and Susie DeRas; and a brother, John (Maureen) Stoops.
