Rosemarie Fritz

Rosemarie Fritz, age 81, of Davenport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, September 22, 2022, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church, or Habitat for Humanity.

Rosemarie was born on February 13, 1941, in Davenport.  Her parents were Lynn and Marguerite (Heidgerken) Campbell. She was united in marriage to Donald Fritz on August 25, 1962, in Davenport. Rosemarie was a proud homemaker for many years but also worked at NorthPark Mall in “Times Square”, and later as a sales associate for Kirlin’s Hallmark.

Rosemarie enjoyed coloring and playing games with her grandkids, painting, ceramics, and volunteering through various local charities. Friendly and outgoing, she loved meeting new people and making new friends her entire life. She played the Easter Bunny for many years at NorthPark Mall. She also enjoyed organizing and planning family gatherings, especially Halloween parties. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and was a host sponsor volunteering with Birthright of Davenport.

She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Fritz; children, Donald P. (Renee) Fritz, Roderick Fritz, Nicole McDaniel, Theodore Fritz, and Matthew Fritz; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Laurie Briebriesco; sister-in-law, Leah Fritz; and brothers-in-law, Tom O’Brien and Richard Mahoney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marjean O’Brien.
