Roseita Barrera

Roseita “Rose” Barrera, 67, of Davenport, passed away, Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Genesis East Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, August 12, 2024 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home with visitation being held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the family. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery. 

Roseita was born on April 6, 1957 in Iowa, daughter of Leo and Georgia (Salas) Carrillo. 

Roseita enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, Elvis and horses. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She was a loving mother of three, grandmother of ten, great grandmother to nine, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was always there for her family and will be deeply missed. 

Those left to honor her memory include her children Alicia Esquivel, Jaime Esquivel and Rosie Esquivel; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers John (Betty) Carrillo, Frank (Shelia) Carrillo, Hank Carrillo, Leo (Betty) Lopez; sister Wanda (Miguel) Carrillo-Serrano and many other loving family members.
