A Mass of Christian Burial for Roger H. Schock, 76, a resident of Eldridge, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1923 N. Fillmore Street, Davenport. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the Mass Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church. Roger passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Roger Harvey Schock was born on November 27, 1941 in Fairfield, Iowa, a son of Roy and Laura (Sheffer) Schock. He graduated from Fairfield High School and the University of Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Ursula Margarete Geimer on September 11, 1967 in Springfield, Illinois. Roger had worked for many years in the insurance industry.
He enjoyed playing golf and in his younger years, tennis. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where he sang in the choir.
He is survived by his wife Ursula, Eldridge and a niece Lori Ann (Dr. Rob) Raw, and many loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Judy (Harold) Bailey. May they rest in peace.Visits: 21
