Robert M. "Bob" Rumpp

Robert M. “Bob” Rumpp, 71, of Andalusia, Illinois, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Unity Point Trinity, Rock Island.  Per his wishes, the rite of cremation was accorded.  Private family internment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport, at a later date.

Bob was born September 28, 1950 in Davenport to Herman A. and Mildred (Moore) Rumpp.  He grew up in Davenport and was a graduate of Assumption High School.  He served his country in the US Marine Corps and graduated from the University of Iowa.  He worked as a social worker for the state of Illinois until his retirement.  Bob enjoyed watching Hawkeve football and basketball.

Those left to honor his memory include his sons: Samuel Rumpp, Milan, Illinois and Noah Rumpp, Moline, Illinois and brother John “Jack” (Doris) Rumpp, Urbandale, Iowa.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and his care team at Trinity for the care and comfort he received in his final days.
