Bobbi Borne

Roberta “Bobbi” Borne, 80, of Davenport, entered eternity on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport.   A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Davenport.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Alphonsus or Hospice Compassus.  Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bobbi was born on May 14, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a daughter of Robert “Bob” and Mercedes “Merc” Borne.  She graduated from Davenport Assumption High School.  Bobbi started her working career as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell.  She later went to work in the Personnel Office at the Rock Island Arsenal and retired from there after 22 years of service in 2002.

She was an active parishioner at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Davenport where she sang in the choir and part of the Circle of Life group.  She volunteered at Good Samaritan and often drove women to Mass and other appointments.  She also enjoyed fellowship at C.A.S.I. and was part of the Golden Tones and Senior Theater. 

Survivors include her sons: Brian and John Bane, her sister, Pat Borne, her brothers, Bruce (Elzbieta) Borne and Dave Borne, niece, Christy (Brian) Miller, and great-nieces Emma and Addison Miller.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin and her parents.
