Robert Miller

Robert Lee “Bob” Miller, 73, a resident of Davenport, died Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Genesis Medical Center, East in Davenport.

A private funeral service will be held but may be viewed via livestream at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020. The stream may be accessed by viewing Bob’s obituary at www.hmdfuneralhome.com. Public visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 16th at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Burial will be at Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the family.

Bob was born October 11, 1946, the son of LeRoy, Sr. and Ruby (Cleveland) Miller. He married Rhonda Griffin, January 20, 1978 in East Moline. Bob worked as a highway construction laborer for Local 309. He enjoyed coloring books, taking his grandchildren on vacations, and family cookouts. Bob was an avid news watcher.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Rhonda; children, Brian (Jen) Griffin, Brandi (Abiola) Olagbenro, Andy Miller, and Alan (Sandy) Payton, all of Davenport; grandchildren, Maryah, Jessica, Mike, Nakia, Sheen, Maleeah, Makennah, Myles, Gage, Taylor, Leia, Sierra, Bryce, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Joseph V, Autumn, Lei’lani, and Dalila; siblings, Jerry (Ann) Miller, Linda (Ronnie) Fleetwood, Janice (Jack) Miller-Hernandez, Debra (Jack) Fifer, Jeff (Gloria) Miller, Gwendolyn (Ralph) Miller-Vega, LeRoy Miller, Jr., and Leslie (Sue) Miller, all of Davenport, Richard Miller, of Chicago, IL;

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan Sierra; and grandchildren, Kira Mirfield, and Dylan Langel.
