Robert J. Matesic

Robert J. Matesic, 46, of Davenport, passed away, Monday, November 6, 2023.

Robert Matesic was born on December 2, 1976 in Davenport, Iowa.  He was a fun loving child and grew up to be a fun loving man who went on to be a high school graduate of Davenport West High School in 1995. He then went on to marry his high school sweetheart Patricia Jean Duncan.  They had four beautiful children he loved more than anything. He loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.  He loved to take their family dog, Bandit, to parks and taking long walks.

He was a beloved son and father, who loved making others laugh and smile by being loud and goofy.  “He asked for so little but gave so very much.”

“Dad, your guiding hand on our shoulders will remain with us forever!”

Those left to honor his memory include, his daughter, Sarah Matesic-Ross (Cole Ross); three sons Joseph Matesic, Aaron Matesic, and Michael Matesic; and mother Betty Hartwich.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Matesic and his three uncles Paul, Michael and Robert Matesic.
