Robert J. Lunardi

Robert J. Lunardi, 84, a resident of Davenport, died Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Genesis Medical Center, East in Davenport.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Private family burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity.

Bob was born July 21, 1938 in Davenport, the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Olsen) Lunardi. He married Judith Meinert. She preceded him in death January 16, 2006. Bob served his country in the United States Marines Corps.

Following his service in the Marines, Bob worked as a barber for 10 years before becoming a salesman for Yellow Freight Trucking. He loved to golf and was an avid sports fan, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Lynne Lunardi of Bettendorf and Tony (Jane) Lunardi of Houston, Texas; and grandchildren, Brock, A.J. and Gemma Lunardi.  

In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Marge and Rich.
