Robert “Robby” Lowder IV, 21, of Bettendorf, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, doing what he loved, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family.
Robert LeRoy Lowder IV was born November 10, 2001, in Davenport. He is the son of Robert Lowder III and Nichol Fogle (Defrates). He was a graduate of Bettendorf High School, Class of 2020.
Robby had just recently started his career path as an electrician with Tri City Electric and was looking forward to being sworn into the IBEW.
He enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, boating, kayaking, MMA training, spending time with his family, friends and the love of his life Lauren Steinhart. He was a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Kansas City Chiefs. When Robby was with his family and friends his presence was larger than life. He was a lot of fun and was always the life of the party. In a day and age where people often text more than they talk to each other, he broke the mold and would always stop by unexpectedly for a visit. He will be greatly missed.
Those left to honor his memory include his parents Robert (Mandi) Lowder III of Bettendorf, Nichol (John) Fogle of Hannibal, MO; girlfriend, Lauren Steinhart; sisters Kaitlyn (fiancé Cayton Wallace) Lowder, Adrianna Lowder and her son Declan, all of Bettendorf; siblings Shelby (Christopher) Nicholas of Moline, Leah Fogle of Pittsburg, KS, Brandon Fogle of Davenport, Joe Fogle of Hannibal; grandparents Jerry (Mary) DeFrates of Bettendorf; Linda Lowder of Bettendorf; great grandmothers Barbara McCullough of Bettendorf; Hilda Murphy of Canton, IL; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Robert and Mary Jo Lowder Jr, Nan Eicksteadt, cousin Jordan DeFrates-Martens, and his chocolate lab Dixie.
