Richard Schnoor

Richard A. “Dick” Schnoor, 58, a resident of Pleasant Valley, formerly of Davenport, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home, Pleasant Valley.  Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 11a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will take place in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation will be Thursday from 10a.m. until 11a.m. at the funeral home.

Richard Archibald Schnoor was born on April 25, 1960 in Los Angeles, California, a son of Waymer and Betty (Henderson) Schnoor.  He proudly served our country in the Army from 1981 until 1984 and joined the Navy from 1984 until 1988. He truly loved the military.

After his honorable discharge, Dick took a job on Arsenal Island as a guard working until 1997 when he retired due to his health.

Dick enjoyed collecting stamps and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his cousins, Donna Willers and Kenneth Willers, both of Blacklick, Ohio.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Schnoor.  May they rest in peace.
