Richard H. Carson

Richard H. Carson, 76, of Davenport passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, at Manor Care, Davenport.

Graveside services with military honors will be 11am on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Quad City Veterans Outreach Center.

Richard Howard Carson was born August 23, 1945, in Madison, WI, a son of Russell and Virginia (Titley) Carson.  He was united in marriage to Gale Sexton on July 3, 1970, in Walcott.  She preceded him in death on April 20, 2021.

Richard was a veteran of the Army, serving from 1965 - 67.

Prior to his retirement, he had been an iron worker for many years.

He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include children, Gary (Bobi) Carson, Glen (Tracy) Carson, Grant (Corinna Burgess) Carson all of Buffalo; grandchildren, Holli (Wes) Thornton, Zack (Megan) Carson, Nick Carson, Drew Carson; great grandchildren, Lilah Thornton, Tinley Carson, Memphis Carson; brother, William (Faye) Carson; sisters, Roberta Kit Carson, and Judy Hainline.

In addition to his wife Gale, he was preceded in death by his brothers Patrick, Robert, Russell, and Jack.
