Rebecca Jones

Rebecca Jones, 45, of Davenport, passed away, Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Trinity Rock Island.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 12:00pm with visitation being held one hour prior to the service at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. Per her wishes cremation rites were accorded.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Rebecca was born on November 11, 1977 in Iowa City, Iowa to Toni Lawton.  She was raised by Edmond and Maxteen (Lee) Jones.  She found companionship with Napoleon Alexander Jackson for many years.

Rebecca is loved by her children, grandchildren and a host of close family and friends.  Working as a CNA, shows her loving and giving nature.  Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and children, writing poems and journaling, cooking, and listening to music.  Rebecca found joy watching her shows, especially The Handmaids Tale, The Notebook and Titanic.  She also loved to travel with her family.

Those left to honor her memory include, children Lyric Jones Williams, Alejandro Herrera, Emilio Herrera, Korena Herrera, and Beniah Jones; grandchildren Achilles Bateman, Aaliyah Herrera and Aera Herrera; and siblings, Benita Jones, Vanessa Jones, Michael Jones, Louise Ragsdale and Michaela Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Lloyd Jones, great niece Isabella Jones, and siblings Johnny and Carol.
