Douglas Diedrich, 74, a resident of Davenport, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport.
Visitation will be Friday, March 16, 2018 from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Funeral services celebrating his life will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private family burial will be held at Summit Cemetery in rural Davenport. Memorials in his honor may be made to the family.
Born December 23, 1943 in Davenport, Doug was the son of Robert E. and Eloise (Kepler) Diedrich. On March 11, 1967, he married Pamala Stoneback.

Doug worked in industrial engineering for the Rock Island Arsenal; later in his career working with the Department of Defense, traveling to Washington, D.C. Doug loved hunting, fishing, camping, and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He cherished his time spent with his family.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Pamala; his children and their spouses, Robert C. and Theresa Diedrich, Cynthia and Terry Gothard, Shawn D. Diedrich, and Kevin P. and Keri Diedrich; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Mark Hough, and their family; and many friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.
