Paul Eugene Malik, of Davenport, passed away, peacefully at his residence on Friday, January 7, 2022.
Paul was born to Eugene and Florence Malik on November 4, 1937. After marrying, Shirley Mehrens, in April 1957, they went on to have four children, Dennis, Wayne, Marcia and Michael. His work acheivments include his start at Frandsen Construction with involvements in major historical builds of the Quad Cities. He also worked for Eagle food company, traveling to the East Coast. Lasting nearly four decades, Paul founded and ran Malik's Super Sweep, in 1977, also serving much of the greater Quad Cities. His hobbies and pastimes included eating tacos at Rudy's, stock car racing at the Mississippi Valley Fair grounds and Drag racing at Cordova speedway. He was a member of the Davenport Seventh-Day Church. He was also a member of the Classic Club of the QC and loved to travel.
He is preceeded in death by his mother, father and sister, Jeanette. He is survived by his four children, 9 Grand children, 20 Great grand children and one great-great grand child. There are 3 nieces from his sister’s side of the family.
A memorial service will be held in the spring.
