Pat died Monday, March 2, 2020 at Trinity, Rock Island following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Patrick Joseph Naab was born on December 29, 1960 in Davenport, one of twelve children born to Patrick J. and Mary (LaMar) Naab. He graduated from Alleman High School in 1979. For the past twenty-eight years, Pat was a licensed casino dealer at Jumer’s Casino Rock Island.
Pat was one of a kind with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed his large family and when they were all together, he would leave them laughing or with a smile on their face. Pat was also a man of great faith, whether he was praying the rosary or making them, decorating the church, or serving as an altar server he cherished his parish community at St. Pius. Pat was proud of his Irish heritage and enjoyed celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, but Christmas was his favorite holiday. Pat also enjoyed baking, cooking, and Fightin’ Illini football.
Memorials may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Pat is survived by his mother, Mary, Rock Island, siblings: John (Nora) Naab, Moline, Mimi (Steve) Moller, Rock Island, Bill Naab, Moline, Mary Pat Otten, Rock Island, Gina Anderson, Wichita, Kansas, Michael Naab, Morton, Illinois, Robin (Dallas) Pfantz, State Center, Iowa, Tom (Dawn) Naab, Cardiff, California, Louie (Tracy) Naab, Bettendorf and Major Danny (Birgit) Naab, US Army, Charlotte, North Carolina; twenty-four nieces and nephews; and his large extended LaMar and Naab families.
