Patricia M. Wehr

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia M. Wehr, 82, of Bettendorf, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport.  Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.  Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the Cathedral.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral.   Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Pat died unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Patricia Mary Snell was born on February 23, 1941 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, a daughter of Paul and Pearl F. (Adriaenssens) Snell.  She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in 1958 and later from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and St. Ambrose.

Pat married Edward N. “Ned” Wehr on September 16, 1972 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.   Ned preceded her in death on January 27, 2018 following 45 years of marriage.

Pat retired in 1991 from Mercy Hospital as the head nurse/supervisor of the Operating Room.

Pat was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Cathedral.  She was always on the go!  She loved to bike and play golf, achieving a hole-in-one in Florida.  She also was a self-taught talented seamstress and loved her canine companion, Kimmy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother-in-law, Thomas (Doris) Swinburn, East Moline; niece and nephew, Kelley (Denny) McCallum, Rock Island, Paul (Kelley) Swinburn, Silvis, and Mary Swinburn, Decorah, as well as many great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Barbara Swinburn, and nephews, Tom Swinburn and Todd Holliday.  May they rest in peace.

Pat wanted to thank God and her Guardian Angel for all her many blessings.  As she always said, “I lived, I loved, I died.”
