Patricia K. "Patty" Talley, 72, a resident of Davenport, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at her home of natural causes. Honoring her wishes the rite of cremation has been accorded.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Cafe on Vine. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting her family.
Patricia Kay Talley was born October 6, 1948 in Davenport, the daughter of Howard Talley and Geraldine (O'Brien) Talley. She married Steve Henning, August 2,1997. Throughout her life, Patty had worked many years at Family Resources, and then at Bowman and Depree Law Firm.
Patty cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She nurtured her grandchildren with her creative and artistic talents. She enjoyed her crosswords every day. Patty was a passionate and active member of the democratic party. When she was still able, she enjoyed taking care of her flower gardens and took pride in the variety of plants in her yard. Something was always blooming from Spring to late Fall. Patty was known by her close friends and family as the "Queen of Course" and over the years had a lot of fun with that moniker, gatherings of the Court, yard parties, etc. were always filled with fun, food, and music.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband; Steve, and their children, Elizabeth (Chris) Koehler, Carrie (John) Millwood, all of Davenport, and Brent Henning, Cordova, Il, a sister-in-law, Cathy Wayson, Bella Vista, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, William Koehler, a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Dave McConnell and a brother, Mike Wayson.
