Patricia Ann Mosley

Patricia Ann Mosley passed unexpectedly on Tuesday February 21, 2023 at her home. She was 67 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden transition. 

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Third Missionary Baptist Church in Davenport. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family.

Patricia was born May 22, 1955 in Oxford, Mississippi, the daughter of Odell and Mary Ruth (Kelly) Shorter. She married Johnnie B. Mosley, April 3, 1971. They spent 50 years together before he preceded her in death October 15, 2021.

Patricia worked as a quality inspector for Ralston Purina for 18 years. She was a long-term member of Third Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board for many years. She spent her time searching for treasures at the local thrift shops, gardening, and spending quality time with her granddaughter Moochie Boochie. She was always well kept in her dress and appearance. She loved her family and God.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Latanya Mosley and Fleurette Mosley of Davenport; granddaughter, Adalyn Mosley; siblings, William (Chris) Shorter, Charles Lee (Marilyn) Shorter, and Mary Lee (Lorenzo) Searcy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Daniel Shorter.
