Patricia L. LaMar, 77, a resident of Davenport, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at her home.
Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Davenport. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Carmelite Monastery or Disabled American Veterans. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on November 11, 1940 in Davenport, Patricia was the daughter of William C. and Daisy H. (Parris) LaMar.
Patty worked for her family business, LaMar Shade and Venetian Blind Company. She enjoyed reading, especially James Patterson novels, puzzles, watching “Downton Abbey”, “Criminal Minds”, and “Are You Being Served.” Patty was a very giving, organized, and independent woman. She always spoke her mind and was a fighter, never giving up. Patty was an active member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Those left to honor her memory include her siblings, Mary Naab of Rock Island, Thomas (Carolyn) LaMar of Davenport, Juliann Leibold of Davenport, Carol Beardsley of Bettendorf, Helen (Michael) Guldner of Davenport, Linda (James) Dockery of Bettendorf, and Beth (John) Pippert of Rock Island; and many nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, William, Martin, Robert, and Dennis LaMar.
