Patricia Geist

Patricia Ann Geist, 87, a resident of Davenport, died Friday, November 19, 2021 at The Ivy in Davenport.

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Davenport. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with visitation to follow from 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 22nd at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Memorials may be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.

Pat was born January 2, 1934 in Davenport, the daughter of Lawrence and Frances (Connell) Schebler. She married Clark Renner Geist, October 15, 1955 at St. Alphonsus Church. He preceded her in death, November 4, 2004.

Pat worked in the cafeteria at Davenport Schools for 23 years and later worked for Sears Catalog for 10 years. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church and Altar and Rosary Society. Pat enjoyed gardening, flowers, and playing bingo. She cherished her time spend with family.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Theresa, and her husband, Clark Metzger and Kelli Christenson, both of Davenport, and Brenda Hogan of Coal Valley; sons, Samuel Geist of Davenport, William Geist of Coal Valley, and Maxwell Geist of Davenport; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janice Schebler; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerome Schebler; and son-in-law, Terry Christenson.
