Patricia Custer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Custer, of Davenport, IA, on November 17, 2024, at the age of 77, at MercyOne Genesis, Davenport. Cremation has been accorded and funeral arrangements will be held in Chambersburg in the spring of 2025. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, assisted the family. 

Patricia Jane Morgan was born on February 14, 1947, in Chambersburg, PA, a daughter of Silas and Estalene (Shaw) Morgan Jr. She was united in marriage to Walter Custer in 1968 in Chambersburg and although they later divorced they remained close friends.

Prior to her retirement, Patricia worked for the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, IL, and McLane Suneast in Kissimmee, FL

She enjoyed going to the casino, playing games, going shopping, enjoyed going places with Walter Custer. She loved watching the Hallmark Channel and HGTV and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Those left to honor her memory include husband Walter Custer; son Kevin (Jennifer) Custer of Georgia; daughter Angela McNally of Davenport; grandchildren Nathan and Whitley Custer; brothers Todd Morgan and Terry Morgan of Pennsylvania; and sister Debra Smith of Kissimmee.

 She was preceded in death by her parents Silas and Estalene Morgan.
