Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia M. Cepican, 95, a resident of Bettendorf, will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1506 Brown Street, Bettendorf.  Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass in the gathering space at the church.  Memorials may be made to Assumption High School.  Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Mrs. Cepican died peacefully Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Senior Star Senior Living, Davenport.  

 

Patricia Mary Freund was born October 20, 1926 in Davenport, the daughter of Fred and Blandina (Kevlin) Freund.  She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in 1944 where she was president of her class.  She attended Marycrest College and worked at Bawden Brothers Printers until she was united in marriage to Donald E. Cepican May 17, 1947 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Bettendorf.  He preceded in death March 30, 2009.

 

Patricia was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Lourdes.  She was a woman of great faith, active in church, school and community affairs for many years.

 

Survivors include her sons, John E. Cepican, Atkinson, Illinois, Donald P. (Sharon) Cepican, Libertyville, Illinois, and Thomas K. (Teresa) Cepican, Westfield, Indiana;  grandchildren, Sarah (Nick) Smith, Patti (David) Pierce, Matthew J. Cepican, Peter (Junko) Cepican, Anne (Jake) Bynum, Ryan (Crystal) Cepican, Shaun (Danielle) Cepican, Matthew T. (Carson) Cepican, and Benjamin Cepican; and great-grandchildren, Lillian and Jackson Smith, Rece, Quinn, Violet, and Gabriella Cepican, MacKenzie and Durfee Pierce, Elliott and Owen Bynum, Brooks Cepican, Aysa, Nica, and Nolan Cepican, and a sister in law, Mary Jean Freund, Davenport.

 

Patricia was proceeded in death by her husband Donald, her son, James L. Cepican, her parents and her brothers John Freund and James Freund.  May they rest in peace.
