Patricia Bitterman

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia Bitterman, 82, a resident of Davenport, will be, Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.  Visitation will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home with one hour of visitation being held at church on Tuesday from 9:30am until the time of Mass.  Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.  Patricia passed away, Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia Katherne Korch was born on March 16, 1941 in Davenport, a daughter of Ico and Agnus Korch.  She was united in marriage to David P. Bitterman on May 4, 1963 at St. Joseph’s Church.  He preceded her in death on November 1, 2018.

Patricia’s family meant everything to her and she spent as much time with them as she could.  She also enjoyed gardening, baking, puzzles, crafts and decorating her home for every holiday. 

Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. 

Those left to honor Patricia’s memory include children, David (Artis) Bitterman, Jr. and Brian (Debbie) Bitterman, all of Davenport; bonus child Andrew Thomas; 12 grandchildren:  Samantha, Zackary, Christopher, Cathrine, Kyle, Courtney, Jacob, Tanner, Ian, Minnie (Rich) Tanamor, Matt (Amber) Lang and Elizabeth (Danny) Fisher; great grandchildren:  Aspen Entsminger, Krystal Lang, Roderick Tanamor, Ace Lang, Alex Meador and Gabby Andrus; sister Millie Wilhelm; sister-in-law, Judy Bitterman, and numerous loving nieces, nephews, extended family and great friends.

The family would like to thank wonderful nurses and staff at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House for their generosity and loving care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Steve, Don, Marie, Estelle, Helen and Lorraine.
