Pamela J. Cosselman

Pamela J. “Pam” (Geary) Cosselman, 68, of Davenport formerly of Eldridge, died Tuesday, January 14, 2025 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with a brain cancer. Services to celebrate Pam’s life will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. The service will be livestreamed and a link will appear on this page at 11:45 p.m.  Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Stead Family Children’s Hospital at the University of Iowa in honor of her great-nephew, Hugh Harvey.

Pamela Jean Geary was born on January 19, 1956 in Davenport, a daughter of Arthur C. Geary and Phyllis J. (Bernecker) Geary. She was a 1974 graduate of North Scott High School. Pam worked for Iowa American Water for over 20 years and worked in sales as well locally. 

She cherished her family, enjoying the time she spent with them as well as her many friends. Pam loved the outdoors and nature. She enjoyed camping and travelling, usually finding a beach along the way.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Leah Dittmer, Davenport, 1st Lt. Lucas (1st Lt. Elena) Cosselman, USMC, Milton, Florida; grandchildren: Rylan and Ethan; mother, Phyllis Geary, Canyon Lake, Texas, father, Arthur Geary, DeWitt; siblings: Dennis (Missy) Geary, Eldridge, Patti (Merlin) Levien, Donahue, and Peggy Geary, Canyon Lake, Texas; nieces and nephew, Johanna (Abe Lukowicz) Geary, Maria (Brandon) Harvey, Brant Levien, Natalie Levien,; great nephews: Hugh, Leo, Briggs Harvey; and many loving aunts, cousins, and friends.

Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents: Paul and Helen Geary and Wilhelm and Hazel Bernecker, a cousin, Mike Geary, and many beloved aunts and uncles.
