Orville Barnhart

Funeral Services for Orville W. Barnhart, 79, a resident of Davenport, will be 11am Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport.  The family will greet friends from 4-6pm Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the funeral home.  There will be an additional visitation Wednesday from 10am until the time of the service. Private inurnment will be in Davenport Memorial Park at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Orville Barnhart, was born on July 27, 1941 and passed away on June 18, 2021. He owned Tire Marketing Corporation and enjoyed helping his customers over multiple generations. Orville and his wife Cathy (Kostichek) recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Orville enjoyed going fishing with his friends, hunting with his sons, golfing, and taking trips with his wife Cathy. He will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend Cathy as well as sons, Shawn (wife Sherri) of Glendale, Arizona and Mike (wife Brenda) of West Liberty, Iowa. His 4 grandchildren: Patrick of Keota, Iowa, JJ of Bloomington, Minnesota, Briana of Petersburg, Virginia, and Colton of North Liberty, Iowa. Orville leaves behind 6 siblings: Janice Dunn (husband Jim) of  Frost, Texas, Brenda Breeden (husband Bob) of Maquoketa, Iowa, Linda Pauly of Dubuque, Iowa, Lowel Barnhart (wife Jean) of Greenville, Texas, Noel Barnhart (wife Nancy) of Delmer Iowa, and June Yoerger (husband Arnold) of Delmer, Iowa.
