Norma Robinson

Norma J. Robinson, 77, of Davenport, passed away on October 20, 2021 at her home.  Per her wish the rite of cremation will be accorded.

Norma Jean Redmond was born June 15, 1944 in Oxford, MS, a daughter of Phillip and Reminder (Thompson) Redmond.  She was united in marriage to John Hanes, Sr.

Prior to her retirement she had worked as a nurse in healthcare.

She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her large family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring person and was a mother to everyone.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Vivian Hanes of Davenport, Debbie Scott of Aurora, CO, John Hanes Jr of Davenport, Keith (Tiffani) Hanes, Darren (Eddie Mae) Hanes, and Felicia Herod all of Davenport; bonus daughters Patricia Johnson and Annie Jackson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother Jimmy (Mary) Thompson of Oxford, MS; and many special friends including Gail Hanes Simmons, Sidney Pearl Armstrong, and Connie Howard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John Winters, Lloyd Redmond, and Larry Redmond.  May they rest in peace.
