Norma Jean Lyons

Norma Jean Lyons, 81, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 at her home. 

Mass of Christian burial will at 10:30 am, Friday, April 8, 2022 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Davenport, Iowa.  Visitation will be held from 930-1030am, prior to the Mass at Church.  Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery, Blue Grass, Iowa.  Memorials may be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. 

Norma was born on August 26, 1940, daughter of Dominic and Letha (Ross) Drzycimski.  She was united in marriage to LaVerne Lyons on January 1, 1971.  He preceded her in death on November 9, 2007.

Norma had worked at Montgomery Ward and JC Penny for many years.  She loved her family and had a strong faith.  She enjoyed her music, birds and looking for a treasure at flea markets.  Norma also spent time working in her flowerbeds and keeping her yard well kept. In her younger years she enjoyed camping with her husband. 

Those left to honor her memory include children, Richard Hutchings, and Rose Greathouse; siblings Kathy (Ed) Baker, Marilyn (Dale) Hufford, and Edward (Pat) Drzycimski, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brother Richard Leo Drzycimski.
