She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1955, a year early, at 17 years of age. Norma met Herman A. Bredar on a blind date and they were united in marriage on August 24, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rock Island, IL. They have shared over 65 years of marriage and memories together.

Norma was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and formerly St. Anthony’s Parish.
She enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years as well as traveling and playing golf. Norma enjoyed many friendships, gardening, and was a part of multiple bridge clubs and her “Bitch & Stitch” group. She also liked to cook and bake, known for her homemade caramel corn, sour cream twists and pumpkin pie. Above everything else, she cherished her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother
