Nancy Jo West

Nancy Jo West, 70, a resident of Blue Grass, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City.

Nancy was born November 13, 1952 in Davenport, the daughter of Walter and Evelyn (Timm) Erps. She married Gerald “Jake” West, August 27, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nancy and Jake owned and operated West Auto Sales in Davenport. She enjoyed baking, decorating cakes, cookies, and candy, and sewing, especially blankets for her grandchildren. Nancy also enjoyed playing the lottery, bingo, and scrapbooking. Nancy was never able to say the word “No” when it came to her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She was sure to equally spoil all of them.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jake; children, Tracy (Darin) Storjohann of Maysville, and Jimmy (Kristin) West of Davenport; grandchildren, Ali (Matt) Cronkleton, Jake (Emily) Storjohann, Roni (Joey) Trizzino, Cody (Maddi) Storjohann, Jack West, and Brady West; great-granchildren, Hank Cronkleton, Hazel Cronkleton, Morgan Storjohann, Ruby Cronkleton, Toni Trizzino, and Elsie Storjohann; siblings, Darlene Grosvenor, Penny Erps, Bob Erps, and Kim Busch; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Darold Busch and Eunice Weaver, and Sherrie Manley; father and mother-in-law, James and Esther Dixon.
