Nancy L. Walk, 81, a resident of Davenport, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at MercyOne-Genesis East, Davenport.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2025 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 417 N. Main Street, Davenport. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Davenport. Keeping with Nancy’s wishes, there will be no visitation and cremation rites have taken place.

Nancy Louise Spencer was born on April 27, 1943 in Burlington, Iowa, a daughter of Arthur and Kathleen M. (Springer) Spencer. She graduated from Assumption High School in 1961 and later attended college at St. Vincent’s College in Chicago and Scott Community College in the Quad Cities. She married Dr. Louis B. Walk on September 7, 1968 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and from this union they had two sons, David and Neal.

Nancy was a registered nurse at the former St. Luke’s hospital for many years before helping to start the Visiting Nurses where she helped to write protocols. She retired from Good Samaritan Nursing Home as a supervisor in 2007.

Nancy’s life revolved around her family, she cherished her grandchildren and keeping up with her siblings and extended family. 

Those left to honor her memory are her sons, David Walk, Omaha, and Neal (Michelle) Walk, Ft. Myers, Florida; grandchildren: Shaleigh, Arielle, Mayson, Tobin, and Ezra; siblings: Anne (Harry) Koster, Michigan and Richard (Anne) Spencer, New Hampshire

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert J. Spencer. May they rest in peace.
