Monica Forbes

Monica E. (Massey) Forbes, 64, a resident of Davenport, died Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Genesis Medical Center, East Rusholme Street in Davenport.

A memorial gathering celebrating her life will be held at a later date. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.

Monica born May 8, 1955 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Everette Earl and Patricia G. (McDermott) Massey.

Monica’s last job was at Donuts & More where she was subjected to endless rounds of silly jokes…then passed them on.

Those left to honor her memory are her sisters, Kathy (Pascual) Marquez and Norah Brenny; extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, Yo and Jan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and cherished sister, Josie Catron.

The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at Genesis East for their professional and compassionate care given to Monica during these trying times. May your goodness and kindness come back to you 10-fold. Also thank you to the staff at Eye Surgeons Associates for the preservation of her sight.
