Mike served in the United States Army from September 29th, 1970 to May 15th, 1972 when he was honorably discharged. He worked at Sivyer Steel for 38 years and retired from the Rock Island Arsenal. Any one that knew him would tell you that he had a work ethic that was second to none.
Mike loved playing golf, cards, bowling, watching westerns on T.V. and taking long rides with his wife and sister-in-law Terry. He was always quick with a funny joke or a prank. But more than anything he loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren. He also loved his dogs Max and Peewee. He was a very caring person and will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
A special thanks to the Veterans of America and to the Clarissa Cook Hospice House.
