Michael Zinger

Michael Zinger, 63, a resident of Davenport, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Michael’s life will be 10:30 am Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1923 Fillmore Street, Davenport. The family will greet friends Thursday at church from 9:30 until the mass time. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Michael Allen Zinger was born October 29, 1954, in Davenport, the son of Leonard Louis and Sadie Elizabeth (Jabour) Zinger. Mike was baptized into the Catholic faith at Holy Family Catholic Church where he was a member and attended school. He then attended Williams Junior High School, West High School and St. Ambrose.

Those left to honor his memory include his son Brandon (Shelley) Schroeder, Marion, Iowa; two sisters, Lynda Kuehn (William Cardiff) Davenport, Michelle (Jon) Curtis, Bettendorf; a brother, Thomas Zinger, Council Bluffs, Iowa; his paternal aunt, Mildred Conklin, Bettendorf; a special cousin, Pamela Guzzo; 11 nieces and nephews; and 21 great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Louis Zinger, Jr., two nephews, Matthew Kuehn and Justin Bird; a great nephew Cameron Holland; and a sister-in-law, Orba Zinger. May they rest in peace.
